NYMag Rents Online Reviews Out To Real Estate Broker Site

By David Kaplan - Mon 28 Jan 2008 12:48 PM PST

New York Magazine has a second home for some of its online restaurant reviews and shopping tips: real estate broker Halstead Properties has added a live feed called Real Access to New York on its site that acts as a neighborhood guide, with NYMag.com’s content alongside apartment and home listings. Under Real Access, a menu scrolls down offering five selections from categories including Nearby Health and Fitness and other “nearby” choices for food, bars and shopping. No financial details released but Halstead, which already advertises on in New York and its site, will promote the partnership in an ad campaign around the city. In the general scheme of magazine websites deals, the arrangement is pretty inconsequential. That said, it could point the way for editorial sites to grab a little more advertising dollars while promoting their own brand via another’s site.
