National Lampoon Acquires Sports Site RivalFish

By Joseph Weisenthal - Mon 04 Feb 2008 10:27 AM PST

The National Lampoon continues its online shopping spree: This time, the humor media company is buying RivalFish.com, which offers content and merchandise having to do with college sports and sports rivalries. The site had already been a member of National Lampoon’s Humor Network, and it sees the buy as helping to bolster its position in the sports humor space. The acquisition follows its recent purchase of CollegeHangover.com, a user-gen site that was also a member of the National Lampoon’s network of affiliated sites. RivalFish’s content offerings include blogs, podcasts and video. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. Release.
