Napster Scales Back UK Office; Centralizes Europe in Frankfurt

By Rafat Ali - Mon 26 Feb 2007 12:44 PM PST

So reports the Guardian: Napster is significantly scaling back its UK operation in a move that will see its UK VP and GM, Leanne Sharman, a former marketer at Vivendi’s ill-fated MP3.com Europe, leave the company. It is moving to centralize its European sales, marketing and management structure to Frankfurt to save costs. The company has promoted Thorsten Schliesche to the new role of VP for sales and marketing Europe. He is also the GM of Napster’s Frankfurt sales office.
Meanwhile, Ian Greaves has been promoted to head of programming for Napster UK.
More details in release.
