MMO Developer Turbine Raises $25 Million Of $40 Million Third Round

Turbine, a developer of MMO games, has raised $25 million of a planned $40 million third round report peHUB. The Westwood, MA-based company has now raised over $90 million. Investors in the latest round include return backers Highland Capital Partners, Polaris Venture Partners, Tudor Ventures and Columbia Capital. The company’s chief title is its Lord Of The Rings-branded game. Its former CEO and founder Jeffrey Anderson recently launched Play Hard Sports, a new casual game sports start-up.
