Microsoft To Launch New Version of Zune This Evening: Reports

Rumors have been circulating and Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) is expected to launch new versions of its Zune media player this evening. Not that Zune version 1 has done great, but it is a distant number 2 behind iPod. The new version is expected to have a flash memory-based unit that could compete with the iPod nano. No touch-screen features or cell-phone technology are expected to be part of that announcement, the MarketWatch story says. Stay tuned.
