We mentioned the appointment of LinkedIn’s new CFO yesterday, but Reuters runs with it, and says that this could lead to the company’s IPO, “one of the first big post-dotcom Internet IPOs.” That’s a stretch, but let’s drop that for a bit...Reuters says it could perhaps be as early as next year.
“We are projecting somewhere in the $100 million range next year,” said the new CEO Dan Nye, who took over from founder Reid Hoffman. LinkedIn will also appoint Yahoo advertising executive Patrick Crane to head the company’s first general marketing push. The British-born Crane led marketing for Yahoo Answers.
