Joost Gets Boost From Indie Film And TV Content Deals

Joost used MipTV in Cannes to announce a raft of new content carriage deals with independent TV and movie distributors. The deals will bring additional film, children’s and fiction content to the platform. All3Media International distributes shows from several producers including its own production subsidiaries, which make programs like World Rally and The Gadget Show; Alliance Atlantis distributes a range of shows including CSI; documentary specialist September Films has an archive of mainly UK programming, while Wall To Wall makes shows for broadcasters including the BBC. Movie DVD retailer IndieFlix will provide material from its library of indie films while Shorts International will offer movies from its English, French and Spanish short film channel. This is in addition to the news last week that Joost is part of the new CBS Interactive Audience Participation Network. Release.
