Jana Confirms It’s Done With CNET Fight

Not that it was in doubt, but Jana is done with its CNET (NSDQ: CNET) proxy fight. The company said in a filing that in light of the CBS (NYSE: CBS) acquisition, the firm and its various partners: “ceased to pursue the conduct of a proxy contest regarding the Issuer.” Last night Jana made a separate filing indicating that Velocity had agreed to exercise an option to buy 1 million shares at $10, which makes given the $11.50 takeout price.
