Italy’s Dada Acquires 30 Percent Stake In Blog Publisher Blogo.it For $950K

Dada, the Italian mobile (and online) content firm, which own U.S. mobile social networking service Upoc), has bought 30 percent stake in local Italian blog network Blogo.it (and its parent company E-box) for a total of US$950,000. It has an option to raise the stake to 100 percent within the next two years. Blog.it was founded in 2005, and the company says it is the biggest blog network in the country. It has sites such as Autoblog.it pages, Deluxeblog.it for luxury shopping, or Downloadblog.it, a specialized software and web services news site. E-Boz expects 2006 revenues of Euro 420K and earnings before tax of Euro 50K.
The company no employees and is managed by the four co-founders who co-ordinate the activities of over 50 bloggers. More details in release.
