Israeli Virtual TV Operator RayV Raises $8 Million

By Joseph Weisenthal - Thu 11 Oct 2007 12:13 PM PST

RayV, an Israeli online TV startup, has raised an $8 million second round from Accel Partners, reports Globes Online. Previous undisclosed funding came from co-founder Ron Zuckerman, also a prominent Israeli angel investor. The company says it’s developing a platform to support a plethora of long-tail live online TV channels, from “rugby matches from England” to a “cooking channel for vegans”, putting into competition with Joost and others. Co-founder Oleg Levy was previously at Juniper Networks’ R&D labs in Israel. (via Alarm:Clock)
