We reported last month about IDG-owned Industry Standard’s efforts to make a comeback...now NYT’s Bits blog has some more details: it is hiring an editor-in-chief and “will include a predictive market like the Hollywood Stock Exchange, presumably to let people track startups and technologies and place bets on which will succeed.” The effort is being led inside IDG by InfoWorld chief technology officer Derek Butcher, the post says. Not that we need another one obsessively covering the Valley.
