Industry Moves: WSJ; The Knot; Westwood One; Live Gamer

-- The Wall Street Journal Digital: Sarabjit “Ruby” Walia has been named the network’s CTO, effective immediately. Walia will be responsible for directing all aspects of technology, ensuring functionality of existing systems and implementing new systems and products. He joins from Financial Dynamics, where he served as group CIO. Previously, he served as SVP and CIO of commercial operations for NBCU. Release.

-- The Knot: Carol Koh Evans returns to the company as its new COO, overseeing the ad businesses’ operations, commerce warehouse, customer service departments, registry business and M&A. She had previously worked at The Knot in corporate development under the direction of CFO Richard Szefc and CEO David Liu. Most recently, Evans served as GM at Microsoft’s (NSDQ: MSFT) Massive Inc. Current COO, Sandra Stiles, will transition to a new role as special advisor to the CEO and has also resigned as director of The Knot. Release.

-- Westwood One: Richard Kosinski joins the company as its SVP and chief digital officer, overseeing all product and business development in the digital area. Kosinski most recently worked for Yahoo as VP-political advertising and earlier led ad sales at Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal. Release.

-- Live Gamer: Kurtis Buckmaster joins the virtual trading operator as its VP-product marketing. Having 18 years of online community experience, he most recently served as VP-marketing and product development worldwide at Curse Gaming and previously at CNET’s (NSDQ: CNET) GameSpot as senior manager of community and customer service. Release.
