Industry Moves UK: Guardian; 3UK; Teachers TV

- Guardian: Deputy commercial director Adam Freeman has been promoted to Guardian News & Media’s (GNM) commercial director position, replacing Stuart Taylor. Freeman has been with GNM since 1992, when he joined as a sales exec, but spent two years out as emagazineshop.com marketing director between 2000 and 2002 - after his return as media publisher, he became head of commercial development for the Guardian Unlimited website. A Guardian Media Group (GMG) board member, he will take up the new post in September, when Taylor moves to sister company GMG Radio as commercial director, a new position. (via MediaWeek).

- 3UK: The 3G mobile operator has hired Alan Doyle as integrated communications director, a new role within its marketing department. He will be responsible for branding. Doyle previously was head of Yellow Pages consumer marketing for BT Group, more recently GM for Volkswagen and Luxury Cars. (via NetImperative).

- Teachers TV: The channel aimed at teachers has appointed Andy Smith as its new director of digital. Smith arrives at the company, which broadcasts on multi-channel platforms and online, from Sapient; he previously worked at Endemol’s web arm Victoria Real.  Online, the channels offers thousands of program downloads to subscribers .(via NMA).
