Industry Moves: PointRoll; DriverTV; Spot Runner; Bankrate; Baidu

-- PointRoll: PointRoll has appointed Max Mead, Sanjiv Karana and Dea Lawrence to its senior management team. Mead has been named VP-business development and strategy, most recently having been COO with Green Living Media. Karani has joined as VP-global product management and innovation, previously serving as executive director-product management and innovation with Convergys Corp. As we reported last week, Lawrence has been hired to lead the West Coast team as regional VP-western sales, coming from Variety Online Group where she served as VP-sales. Release.

-- DriverTV: Adam Wiener joins as COO of DriverTV.com, which recently took about $6 million in funding from NBCU in exchange for a 35 percent stake. Most recently, Wiener was at NBCU’s iVillage as SVP of business development, commerce and search. Prior to that, he was GM of Healthology.

-- Spot Runner: The online ad agency follows the high-profile hiring of Joanne Bradford with the promotion of John Gentry to president from chief revenue officer, reporting to Nick Grouf, and the hiring of Samuel Paisley as CFO Paisley joins from ValueClick (NSDQ: VCLK), where he served at various times as chief administrative officer, CFO and COO. -- Bankrate: Bankrate (NSDQ: RATE), Inc. has appointed Dana Berger to the new position of VP-online sales, reporting to SVP and chief revenue officer Don Ross. An 18-year sales vet at Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) & Company Inc., Berger was most recently executive director of advertising at Dow Jones Online. Release.

-- Baidu: Jennifer Li joins as CFO. Most recently, she was controller of GMAC’s North American Operations and, before that, CFO of General Motors China. Li fills the position left vacant when Shawn Wang died in an accident last December. Release.
