-- Nielsen Business Media: Alison Fahey has been promoted to publisher and editorial director for Adweek, effective immediately. Continuing to report to Sabrina Crow, SVP of the company’s marketing, media and visual arts group, Fahey will work with Mike Chapman, who will succeed her as the editor of Adweek, to drive Adweek across print and online platforms. Fahey first joined Adweek in 1992 and was appointed to editor in 1998. Chapman was most recently the editorial director for eMarketer and earlier worked at The Economist Group’s Economist Intelligence Unit for 18 years.

-- SpiralFrog: Entertainment veteran Russ Rieger has been named to the new position of VP of strategic initiatives, where he will be responsible for securing and maintaining strategic partnerships within the music, media and advertising industries. Rieger comes from Pipeline, an entertainment marketing firm he founded.

-- MOG: Alex Brough has been named VP of sales and strategic partnerships. Most recently he worked at MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA) where he ran the West Coast sales operations for MTV’s digital platforms and had led sales and content strategy for movie studios and video games. Release.

-- Mochi Media: The online ad and analytics company has hired Eric Boyd as its VP of engineering. Boyd joins from Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) where he worked as an engineer and product manager and, interestingly enough, is a former member of the MIT blackjack team, the group of MIT students who used an elaborate card counting technique to win big in Las Vegas. Release.

-- AMC: Joel Stillerman has been appointed SVP of original programming, production and digital content, reports Variety. He succeeds Rob Sorcher, who resigned in November to being chief content office at Cartoon Network. Stillerman was previously founder and chairman of Yolo Films.
