As IDG expands its tech-focused ad network to third-party blogs, the company has made an executive hire to oversee the unit. Publishing industry vet Peter Longo joins as CEO of the IDG TechNetwork, leaving his post as chief sales officer for publishing services company Inform Technologies. Longo has held executive posts as several publishers over the past two decades. Before his two-year stint at Inform, Longo had been EVP, president of Zinio Systems, a company specializing in digital magazine production, distribution, and circulation. He has also worked at Ziff Davis Media and CMP. Release
