Industry Moves: Meredith; Dow Jones; NYT; Dailymotion; Invision

-- Meredith Corp.: Meredith (NYSE: MDP) has named Tom Harty chief revenue officer for the publishing group, according to AP. Formerly a magazine publishing exec, he will continue to oversee publishing operations in the home, women’s lifestyle, parenthood and Hispanic segments, among new additional duties in client services and business development. Before joining the media company in 2004, Harty was SVP and GM for The Golf Digest Companies.

-- Dow Jones: Howard Hoffman has just been promoted to VP-corporate affairs from his post as director in the corporate communications group. He will now be responsible for internal and external communications at the corporate level, including the company’s social responsibility initiatives. Earlier in his career, Hoffman was a journalist at the WSJ and DJ Newswires, having served in various reporting, editing and senior management roles. Release.

-- New York Times: Paul Smurl has been upped to the position of VP-advertising from executive director-strategy and planning, the newspaper announced Thursday. Having joined NYT in 2003 as director-strategic planning, he moved to the advertising sector two years later and soon after joined the technology team.

-- Dailymotion: The video site has announced several key management changes; Tim Smith joins as VP, Colin Parks-Fried has signed on as partnership manager and Aimee Carlson has been promoted to creative director. Smith will be working in Dailymotion’s advertising business and was previously a former group manager for sales at Google (NSDQ: GOOG). Parks-Fried will now be responsible for managing partnerships, having previously held key positions at SpiralFrog and Sony (NYSE: SNE) Music. Promoted from programming manager, Carlson will now focus on increasing premium content partnerships in her new capacity. Prior to joining Dailymotion, she worked with VH1 talent and creative development.

-- Invision: The ad sales solution provider has hired Michael Stoeckel as its VP-digital products. He joins from Fox Interactive Media where he served as VP-advertising innovations and operations. Prior to his tenure with News Corp (NYSE: NWS). Stoeckel worked at Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) in various senior management positions.
