Industry Moves: Babelgum; Buzztime; Getty Images; Sorpresa; Coutts

-- Babelgum: Babelgum has just opened its first U.S. offices and hired Ethan Podell as president, Babelgum U.S. and Michael Rosen as EVP and chief revenue officer. Podell will report directly to Valerio Zingarelli, CEO of the company and oversee all aspects of U.S. operations and business growth. A TV vet, he founded and managed several start-ups, including Orbis Communications and All American Orbis. Rosen, reporting to Podell, wil run global ad sales and trade marketing. He joins from WeatherBug, where he was SVP and GM. (Release via PDF.)

-- NTN Buzztime: The interactive entertainment company has appointed Peter J. Boylan III as EVP of sales, effective immediately. He joins from Enterprise Media Networks, where he served as VP of sales.

-- Getty (NYSE: GYI) Images: Caroline Andoscia has joined the company as its VP of communications. Most recently, she was managing director of Omnicom’s Bluecurrent Public Relations.

-- ¡Sorpresa!: The Juniper Content Corp.-owned subsidiary has hired Jon C. Dubin as VP-ad sales for the Spanish-language children’s network. Based in Los Angeles, he will report to Mike Weiden, SVP-ad sales. Most recently, Dubin was VP-ad sales and marketing for City Reach Latino & Epic Media Group at Mobile Fleet Media.

-- Coutts Information Services: The library book and electronic content provider has promoted Stephen Pugh to VP-sales for the U.S. and Asia-Pacific. In his new role, Pugh will continue to manage Asia Pacific and the international division but will now take on sales management in the U.S. Previously, he served as SVP-international division and MD of Australia for YBP Library Services.
