Indian Publisher Chandmama To Be Acquired By Geodesic Information Systems For Around $2.3 million

In stock and cash deal, 94 percent of Indian childrens magazine publisher Chandamama is being bought by Software company Geodesic Information Systems for Rs.10.2 crores (approximately $2.3 million), reports Reuters. Chandamama sells around 200,000 copies in over 12 languages, and Geodesic intends to digitize Chandamama content for the Internet and Mobile. Geodesic is apparently in talks with independent shareholders for the remaining 6 percent. Details at our sister site ContentSutra.com.
