IAC Close To Buying Movie Recommendation Site Flixster: Report

By Rafat Ali - Fri 11 Jan 2008 02:00 PM PST

The Flixster deal talks have been going on for a while, and IAC (NSDQ: IACI) has been in and out of discussions with the movie recommendations site/application. Now WSJ’s Deal Journal is reporting that the deal is close to being done, but the price would be less than the $150 million the San Francisco-based company has been asking suitors. An announcement may come next week...but of course, until the deal is signed, talks could fall through again, as it has in the past. Flixster users review, discover and recommend films, and has taken off as a Facebook application in the last six months or so.
