Guardian Buys Public Sector Information Publisher Kable

By Robert Andrews - Wed 15 Aug 2007 11:10 AM PST

Guardian News & Media, the division of Guardian Media Group that publishes the likes of The Observer and Guardian Unlimited, has bought Kable, a public sector information publisher, for an undisclosed sum. Kable has been going since 1990 and operates a number of online and print publications, particularly on public-sector information technology. In the new stable, it will sit under the Guardian Professional wing, created last year to run conferences, events and digital publications for business-to- business clients in education, media and government, including The Guardian’s own Changing Media Summit.
