Google Board Member Ann Mather In Backdating Action

By Joseph Weisenthal - Mon 28 Apr 2008 02:53 PM PST

Google board member Ann Mather has been eyed on backdating charges stemming from her tenure as CFO of Pixar, according to a filing put out by Google (NSDQ: GOOG). Mather learned last week that the LA office of the SEC recommended civil proceedings against her, relating to her prior employment at the animator (since acquired by Disney) between 1999-2004. In addition to serving at Google, Mather server on the board of Glu Mobile (NSDQ: GLUU), as well as Zappos.com. There aren’t many details on the investigation, though interesting to note that a) backdating isn’t a totally dead issue and b) the matter has swirled around two Steve Jobs-related companies, though Jobs himself has never faced a legal challenge.
