ProSiebenSat.1 Acquires Solute GmbH; Seeks To Expand Net Presence

German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has acquired a 75 percent stake in Solute GmbH, which operates the country’s number two price-comparison website www.billiger.de and is said to be expanding its internet businesses, according to Playfuls BizWorld. The acquisition should help reduce the company’s dependence on its core business of operating TV stations. ProSiebenSat.1 already partly owns a German-language online video exchange site, myvideo.de.
