Earnings: Meredith Revenue Climbs 4.7 Percent; Meredith Interactive Revenue Up 20 Percent

Meredith (NYSE: MDP) Corporation announced Q3 revenue growth of 4.7 percent, to $404.5 million from $386.4 million, helped by strong advertising growth at its key magazines, as well as its interactive efforts. Net earnings grew 9.4 percent to $33.3 million, or $.70 per share, from $30.2 million, or $.63 per share.

-- Revenue at Meredith Interactive Media was up 20 percent, helped, in part, by site redesigns at BHG.com and Parents.com

-- Interactive revenue at its broadcast operations was up over 100 percent. Company distributing video across television partners and its Better.tv and Parents.tv sites.

-- Publishing advertising revenue rose 13 percent.
