Earnings: Adobe Revenue Up 19 Percent, Income Up 29 Percent

By Joseph Weisenthal - Mon 16 Jun 2008 01:46 PM PST

Software maker Adobe (NSDQ: ADBE), a major beneficiary of online video, reported quarterly (its Q2) revenue of $886.9 million, a 19 percent increase from $745.6 million in the year-ago quarter. Net income soared 29 percent to $214.9 million ($.40 per share) from $152.5 million ($.25 per share). Non-GAAP EPS came to $.50, ahead of analyst estimates of $.46. For the coming quarter, Adobe sees revenue between $855-$885 million, so current estimates of $878 million are in range, though a little higher than the mid-point. The company attributed its solid growth to its geographic diversity, though it didn’t break out the U.S., non-U.S. split.
