DHX Media Buys Stake in Canadian Games Content Producer Tribal Nova

Some activity in the Canadian broadband gaming market: DHX Media, based in Halifax, which produces and distributes TV programming and interactive content, has bought a 16.77 percent stake in Tribal Nova, based in Montreal for $2 million. Tribal Nova has rights more than 500 games featuring popular children’s TV characters, develops and operates gaming and VOD broadband channels for children aged three to 12. It recently launched its first channels in France and Canada in collaboration with Orange and AOL/Neuf Cegetel. More details in the story here.
