Dennis Publishing Buys Online Current Affairs Mag First Post

By David Kaplan - Wed 09 Jan 2008 03:24 PM PST

Dennis Publishing has bought British online daily news magazine The First Post, the company said. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The new addition is intended to complement Dennis’ main news summary print mag The Week, which is published both in the U.S. and the UK. The three-year-old digital pub reaches claims to draw one million monthly uniques. The First Post’s website will be headed up by Kerin O’Connor, executive director at Dennis in the UK and Pete Wootton, managing director of Dennis Interactive.  The rest of the 12-person team, including Mark Law, the site’s chief editor, will all be taken on as Dennis employees.
