Comparison Shopper Become.com Raises $8 Million Fourth Round

Become.com, one of many players in the comparison shopping game, has raised an $8 million fourth round, according to VentureBeat, which doesn’t know the investors. The Mountain View, CA-based company has now raised over $37 million, having last raised a big $17.5 million round just a few months ago. The company already claims to be profitable, though Anthony Ha at VB speculates that the new raise could be a cushion to help weather the weak economy.
