By David Kaplan - Mon 20 Aug 2007 01:05 PM PST

Business software company Magnitude Information Systems (OTC: MAGY) has acquired teen-focused social net operator Kiwibox Media. While the exact details of the transaction were not discussed, Magnitude received $3 million in equity funding from Tell Capital, which the company said helped it close the deal. The funding will also allow Magnitude to start making changes to Kiwibox’s website and support the company’s new marketing plan. The Branchburg, NJ-based Magnitude couldn’t seem more different from its new property, as the company markets a range of business software related to risk management, productivity and ergonomics. For its part, Kiwibox launched in New York in 1999 and claims to have more than 1.8 million members. Release
