Boston-Area Business News Blog Xconomy Gets First Round Funding

A Boston-area focused tech and business news blog Xconomy has received its first round of funding..the amount was undisclosed. The round was led by CommonAngels, an angel investment group based in Lexington, MA, which contributed funds from both its investment pool and from individual members, the company said in its rather amusing post on the funding. Founder and EIC Robert Buderi was previously the Editor-in-Chief of MIT’s Technology Review. Steve Woit, the publisher, is the founder of VC firm Riga Ventures.
The site was launched in June.
