Balihoo Raises $1.5 Million In First Round Funding For Online Media Buying Search Engine

Balihoo, a Boise, Idaho-based company that is currently beta testing a search engine geared towards online media buyers and marketers, has raised $1.5 million in a first round funding, PEHub reported. Shareholders include Lacuna Venture Fund, which participated in an earlier funding of Balihoo last March, and Blackfin Technology. The amount of the earlier funding was not disclosed. The company launched its beta test at the end of June. Balihoo said that the test involves a group of unidentified companies representing more than $25 billion in annual U.S. media ad spending.
