24/7 Wall St. Buys Financial Blogs: The BioHealth Investor, Volume Spike

By Joseph Weisenthal - Tue 27 May 2008 12:11 PM PST

Financial blog 24/7 WallSt. says it has acquired various other financial blogs including The Biohealth Investor and Volume Spike. The deals sound like acq-hires, as the company touts the opportunity to provide the site’s writers with greater financial backing as well as more exposure via 24/7’s established position. By adding some blogs to its roster in specific verticals, it looks like the site may come to resemble the early iteration of SeekingAlpha, which divided its content between specific sites like TheChinaStockBlog and TheInternetStockBlog, before adopting its current platform approach. Deal terms were not disclosed. Statement.
